This time the game is officially licensed for the 32nd edition of the America's Cup taking place in Valencia. Like its predecessors it is a sailing simulator in which you can race regattas on various locations located all over the world. Also, not all skins from 32nd America's Cup will show for players with VF5 as Nadeo's license for it is limited to this game. It is however possible to upgrade to Virtual Skipper 5, but then the player has to sign up for a yearly subscription model to continue playing. Despite the minor differences, owners of different versions cannot race against each other. It is however not identical to Virtual Skipper 5, which was released later, has a few changes, and uses a completely different subscription model.
